World Sight Day 2018

World Sight Day 2018 was observed by Al Baseer Foundation with the goal of raising awareness about preventable blindness and promoting the importance of accessible eye care services. The initiative focused on educating communities about early detection of eye diseases, regular vision screenings, and the importance of maintaining eye health in daily life. Through coordinated outreach efforts, the foundation worked to ensure that individuals from underserved communities could learn about and benefit from essential eye care services.

The event brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members to highlight the global message that everyone deserves the right to sight. Various awareness activities were organized to encourage preventive practices, identify individuals with vision problems, and connect patients with proper treatment and follow-up care. These initiatives played a significant role in strengthening community awareness and supporting Al Baseer Foundation’s broader mission of reducing avoidable blindness across Pakistan.
