The mission of Al-Baseer Foundation is to reduce avoidable blindness in Pakistan by providing inclusive, high-quality, and comprehensive eye care services. We strive to reach underserved communities, ensuring that eye care is accessible, affordable, and patient-centered.

Our Vision

We are working to serve every person who is needlessly blind due to the unavailability and unaffordability of eye care services. Our vision is to create a sustainable, inclusive eye care system across Pakistan that empowers individuals and communities to maintain healthy vision.

Chairman’s Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Greetings on behalf of the Al-Baseer Foundation!

As an organization, every year we strive to serve needy communities in the most efficient and effective ways possible. Our mission is to bring positive change in people's lives by giving them the gift of sight.

Our objective is to reduce avoidable blindness by providing comprehensive eye care services through the Integrated People-Centered Eye Care approach. We believe in a collaborative approach to achieving our goals. We aim to work closely with our partners, government departments, International and National Non-Government Organizations, community based organizations, and organizations for persons with disabilities to achieve our vision and mission of providing inclusive services.

Since 2012, we have examined more than 553,252 people and performed over 42,298 eye surgeries. I thank all of our donors, partners, and philanthropists for making eye care services accessible and affordable to the poorest and marginalized communities. We hope and expect the same support from our donors and partners to help us achieve our goals in the future as well.
